Otsego County Economic Development
The Otsego County Economic Development Department works with companies throughout Otsego County, by offering technical and financial assistance and identifying opportunities to grow their business. There are a number of other ways in which the Economic Development Department can work with agribusinesses throughout Otsego County:
In partnership with other local agencies, including the Industrial Development Agency (IDA) and the Otsego County Development Corporation (OCDC), the Economic Development Department works with the agricultural community to:
- Obtain grants or other funding to promote economic development of the agricultural industry
- Research federal and state assistance programs targeted for rural economic development
- Network with governmental, agricultural and nonprofit organizations to expand resources for agriculture
- Link agribusinesses to financial resources to secure capital for startup, expansion and retention
- Maintain a directory of agribusiness resources
- Market these services to agricultural enterprises in the county
